Faithful Tutor is a subscription-based AI tutoring platform for homeschool families. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. A parent or legal guardian must create and manage all accounts. We offer a 7-day free trial with no credit card required.
By accessing or using Faithful Tutor ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including parents, guardians, and students accessing the platform under parental supervision.
COPPA Compliance
The Service currently requires students to be 13 years of age or older. A parent or legal guardian must create all accounts and add student profiles. Only a parent or legal guardian (18 years or older) may create an account. By creating a student profile, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child and you consent to the collection and use of their information as described in our Privacy Policy.
We plan to expand to younger students in the future, at which time we will implement additional COPPA-required safeguards including verifiable parental consent mechanisms.

Faithful Tutor provides AI-powered, personalized tutoring for students in grades 4–12. The Service includes:
The Service is intended as a supplemental educational tool and does not replace a complete curriculum, certified teacher, or accredited institution. Academic results may vary.
Faithful Tutor uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate educational content, including tutoring responses, lesson content, lab activities, placement test questions, and essay feedback. While we implement extensive quality controls, AI-generated content may occasionally contain factual errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate responses. Parents are encouraged to review their children's learning progress regularly using the tools provided on the Parent Dashboard. Faithful Tutor is not liable for educational outcomes based on AI-generated content.
Faithful Tutor teaches from a conservative evangelical Protestant theological framework. Our full Statement of Beliefs is available at /beliefs. Families should review this statement before subscribing to ensure alignment with their values. The platform is transparent about its theological foundation — we teach from one consistent lens rather than attempting to serve multiple theological perspectives. The faith integration level setting controls how prominently faith appears in tutoring, but the underlying theological framework is always consistent with our Statement of Beliefs.
Parents are responsible for configuring content controls for each student. Eight content controls allow parents to enable or disable specific sensitive topic areas (including puberty, sexuality, evolution, mature literary themes, violent war, end times, and mental health). All controls default to OFF. When a control is OFF, the AI redirects questions on that topic to the student's parents. By enabling a content control, the parent consents to their child receiving age-appropriate, faith-integrated AI responses on that topic.
If the AI detects that a student may be experiencing a crisis (including expressions of self-harm, suicidal thoughts, or abuse), it will immediately provide crisis resources including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, Crisis Text Line, and Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline. This safety protocol cannot be disabled and operates independently of all content controls and settings.
The Writing Desk provides a text editor for student essays and papers. The Writing Desk has no sharing, collaboration, or external communication features. Essays are visible only to the student and their parents/guardians. Student-generated content (essays, notes, answers) remains the property of the student's family. We claim no ownership over student work.

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, curriculum design, and software — are the property of Faithful Tutor and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
AI-generated tutoring content (lessons, explanations, quiz questions, lab activities) is generated dynamically and is provided as part of the Service. You may use this content for personal educational purposes but may not republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit it.
Student-generated content (essays, notes, answers) remains the property of the student's family as described in Section 5e.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
While we strive for accuracy in all educational content, AI-generated responses may occasionally contain errors. Parents are encouraged to review their children's learning progress regularly.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Faithful Tutor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, academic outcomes, or any other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. You agree to resolve any disputes through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal action. Any legal proceedings shall be brought in the courts of Wayne County, Michigan.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. We may also suspend or terminate a student's access if our safety systems detect a pattern of attempts to circumvent content controls, safety features, or anti-cheating measures. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination:
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may cancel your account.
